Headwater Cider produced a special batch of barrel-aged cider especially for Homestead., a farm-to-table restaurant in Northampton. I was asked to design a label that would encompass both the Homestead. logo—an intricate woodcut landscape of a farm—and the Headwater Cider logo—a two-dimensional, somewhat abstract apple tree. My solution was to redraw the Headwater logo as a woodcut, maintaining its form, and place it within the Homestead. scene, as if it had always been there.
This design won a Bronze award at the AdClub of Western Massachusetts 2018 Ad Awards.
